EEB Ph.D. Course Requirements

EEB students are required to take: 

 

  • BIO 389D Subjects and Skills for Graduate Students in the Biological Sciences is to be taken in the fall semester of the students first year.
  • BIO 384L Issues in Population Biology, must register for this seminar course for one semester. This seminar is during the fall and spring semester, but registration for It is only offered in the spring semester.
  • Two courses must be one of the three Fundamental courses offered, BIO 390C Evolution, BIO 390D Animal Behavior or BIO 390E Ecology.
  • Two additional lecture courses, with one meeting the quantitative requirement.
  • Three seminar courses, may be substituted for a lecture course.
  • BIO _99W (dissertation hours): This courses is taken after the student advances to candidacy. The student must be enrolled every long semester until graduation and summer if you will be graduating. The number of credit hours per semester will depend on if you have other course work you need to take.
