FACULTY POSITION 2020-21 (Open raNK)
The College of Natural Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for tenure-track (Assistant Professor) or tenured (Associate Professor or Professor) faculty positions from candidates who are committed to building a diverse and inclusive educational environment. The Department of Integrative Biology seeks a candidate whose research interests will strengthen or complement the department’s existing strengths in evolution, ecology, behavior, genomics, and computational biology. We are also interested in candidates whose research program will benefit from the department’s core resources in collections and field stations. Potential applicants are encouraged to explore the research interests of current faculty members on the departmental web site.
Candidates should have a strong research record, including influential publications and demonstrated ability to obtain extramural research funding, and should have a commitment to excellent teaching. We particularly value the use of innovative teaching strategies and experience-based learning. A PhD or equivalent is required at the time of appointment, and postdoctoral research experience is expected.
