“Native Bees of Texas”

This short-course introduces you to the magnificent world of native bees: their vital role in ecosystems, life history, and habits. Learn how to tell bees from wannabees, manage pollinator habitat, and create a native bee garden with native plants of Texas to conserve these friendly fellows. It is offered by the Jha Lab of the Integrative Biology Department-CNS through the Public/Adult Programs at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Laurel Treviño, Outreach Coordinator, holds a bachelor’s in biology (National University of Mexico) and masters in botany and wildland resource sciences (University of California at Berkeley) and does research for public engagement on native plants and pollinators.
