PAT 142 CONFERENCE ROOM
Use Policies (seats 40)
- The PAT 142 seminar room is available on a first priority basis for the faculty in the academic units housed in Patterson for holding events such as recurring seminars, research symposiums, receptions, presentations, meetings, etc. Student groups must have a faculty sponsor from one of these academic units to reserve the seminar room. NOTE: This room is not intended for office hours, undergraduate use, or teaching by graduate students of undergraduate discussions or review sessions. This room is also not to be used for scheduling regular graduate courses offered by these or any other academic units during the hours of 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday.
- Bicycles are not allowed in this room. Please secure your bicycles to the bike racks outside of Patterson.
- Other entities associated with the College of Natural Sciences have second priority for reserving PAT 142 but only for similar purposes as those described above.
- UT entities outside of the College of Natural Sciences may reserve the room for an event, but reservations can be made only 10 days in advance. Student groups must have faculty sponsor to reserve the seminar room.
- If changes are made to the standard room layout you are responsible for returning the room to the original order.
- If dry erase boards are used make sure to erase prior to exiting the room.
- If food and refreshments are served, an account number for cleanup needs to be provided at the time of room reservation.
- Users are responsible for any damage to the room incurred during their event.
- For the courtesy of others, please take the time to cancel at least 24 hours before your event if there is a change in plans. There is high demand on the use of this space.
Reserving PAT 142
Send reservation request to IB Front Desk or call 512-471-5858.
- Include the Following:
- Name
- Title
- Contact Information – Phone Number and E-mail
- Academic unit
- Event Information
- Date
- Time (Start and End Time)
- Attendee Count
- If food is served, an account number is required for cleanup and for any significant damage to the carpet or chairs.
- For events that are scheduled after 5:00 pm, the users are responsible for securing the seminar room after the conclusion of the event. A key can be signed out from PAT 141 and must be returned the following day.
- For weekend events, please provide a detailed description of which exterior doors need to be scheduled for unlocking and locking, also include times. Allow 30 minutes to the start time and 30 minutes to the end time of the event.
- A key to access the seminar room on the weekend should be signed out from PAT 141 by the Friday (before weekend event) at 5:00 pm. If you fail to sign out the key and can’t access the seminar room, we take no responsibility.
