Invest in the Future of the Department of Integratiave Biology

Effective biological research and education holds the key to progress on some of the top scientific challenges our world faces, from biodiversity loss to understanding the impact of climate shifts on life around the planet. Housed within the College of Natural Sciences, the Department of Integrative Biology (IB) at the University of Texas at Austin provides training at the undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral levels in several fields, including Ecology, Evolution and Behavior and Plant Biology.

As state and federal support for higher education continues to decline, UT Austin relies on the generosity of its alumni, friends and supporters to fund high-quality education and support distinguished research programs like those carried out in our department. This private support is critical to help launch the success of the faculty and students, and allows the department to provide students with a margin of excellence that cannot be accomplished with state and federal funding alone.

Outright gifts, seed funding, foundation support and long-term investments by way of endowments and estate planning will be the key to continuing ground-breaking academic research and to developing the health care leaders of tomorrow.

Explore the ways to invest in the department’s future that suits your desire to give back.
