Key Requests
To request a key, please email the IB Front Desk. Include the name of the key holder, UTEID, the key(s) being requested, and an account number that will be charged for restocking the key should it not be picked up with 30-days. Make sure to CC your PI in your email request for final approval. PI must add approval via the email. Once the request has been approved, an electronic docusign form will be generated. It will route forward for processing. Lock & Key Services will notify key holder when the key(s) is ready for pick up. For more information about Lock & Key Services, please call (512) 471-8640.
Please note: Key request forms are valid for only 30 days from the date they are signed by the Key Signature Authority (KSA). Failure to pick up keys within the 30 day period will result in the key authorization being nullified.
Upon completion of your appointment at The University of Texas, you must return your keys to Lock & Key Services.
Building/Card Access
Prior to submitting a request for building/card access, make sure the person has a current valid UT ID Card. To request building/card access, please email the IB Front Desk. Request will need to include your EID, email address, and the building you need access for. Please include the PI in your email request. PI will approve via the email. The Integrative Biology Administrative team will coordinate with the building managers.
Lost or Stolen Keys
To request a replacement for a lost or stolen key, please complete the Lost and Stolen Key Report and email the form to the IB Front Desk. Make sure to CC your PI in your email request for final approval. PI must add approval via the email. Once the request has been approved, an electronic docusign form will be generated. It will route forward for processing. Lock & Key Services will notify key holder when the key(s) is ready for pick up. Please note: There is a charge for replacement keys from Lock and Keys Services.
